Calling for Impact: Companies/Organizations Making the World Better for Pets
When it comes to innovations in the pet care industry, a lot of attention is paid to verticals like nutrition, high-tech gadgets, and veterinary medicine. Although these kinds of innovations are of course exciting, there is an underdog of innovation that is overdue in receiving its flowers: animal welfare.
Not only are rescues and shelters providing tremendous services to pets and people, they’re also operating at the center of innovation that touches everything from SaaS platforms to access to care to pet parent safety nets.
In alignment with its mission to make the world a better place for pets, Leap Venture Studio has recently opened applications for the ninth cohort of its accelerator program, and for the first time ever one Impact Seat will be reserved for a company that is best measured by their positive impact on the pet care ecosystem.
This opportunity is open to various business models including non-profits or for-profits that are impact-focused. Startups designed to make positive impacts that are both measurable and scalable are encouraged to apply for the Impact Seat here (this is a separate application subject to its own terms).
